During a time of quarantine, where the world is made strange and distanced through our interaction with screens, this work seeks to reimagine the physical and psychological aspects of the nature of the encounter with works of art. The images are made by re-photographing unique c-type prints made using sculptural cameras. The sound of early Renaissance music from the time of when the sculptures were made is intermixed with the sound of German electronic music pioneers, Kraftwerk, whose founding member Florian Schneider died on 21 April 2020 – both tracks have been slowed to 60% of their original speed.
