Nocturn

I made the audio one night in April in one take and returned to it to make this short piece in the last day or so as a break from a writing project over the last weeks during Easter and lockdown. It was and is a time of sorrow and the lamentations seem to fit: Oh, you who pass this way, look and see, is there any sorrow like the sorrow that afflicts me. Stop all you and see my sorrow. If there is any sorrow like mine. Lamentations 1.12, Responsory V ( Nocturn II Holy Saturday) Officium Hebdomadae Sanctae 1585, Tomás Luis de Vitoria. Please listen on headphones and play loud.
