I am lucky that my studio is in my home, which has made it easy to continue making work but having said that, spending so much time at home, my studio activity has changed. The most important change has been having more time to reflect, and especially time to remember. My works are informed by many years of travel; these memories have re-entered in a clearer and more pronounced sense, due to being house bound and not being able to travel. Much of my time I sit at my drawing table, looking out across the street at the windows and doors of my neighbours. I have found myself returning to monochrome drawing with Indian ink. This drawing includes text, destinations and numbers from travels, which are ghosts from the past and memories, being juxtaposed with the forms that refer to the windows I look at every day.
