Mantle piece 2 — Is it something I said? 

This work was made during a period of self-isolation. My husband, daughter and her partner all became ill with symptoms of coronavirus, and the process of making this work, in our bedroom, while unable to go outside, became a much needed source of focus, and solace. It is drawn from film shot a few weeks prior, in a park where I often walked while growing up. The work fuses moments of reenactment with original performances from fragments of two films: Exhibition and A House In Bayswater. This mantelpiece is the space in the bedroom where I can look at my work.
