Chaplains

There are two chaplains at University of the Arts London: William Whitcombe and Mark Dean.  Our primary role is to offer pastoral and spiritual care to students and staff, and to organise events and activities in relation to faith, spirituality, and the arts. We are happy to talk with you about anything you like, in confidence. As Anglicans we here for everyone, including people of all faiths, atheists, and the unaligned, so please feel free to get in touch with us using the contact details below. William Whitcombe is Lead Chaplain and Interfaith Advisor to University of the Arts London, based at UAL High Holborn, and has particular responsibility for London College of Communication and London College of Fashion. William is also a Priest in Ordinary to HM The King in the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace. Before coming to UAL William worked as a prison chaplain. William’s first degree was in Art History and World Art Studies, and he maintains an active interest in art, design and fashion. William is also a qualified coach, and is currently completing a psychotherapy training. Here’s how to contact William:

Mark Dean is a Chaplain and Interfaith Advisor to University of the Arts London
, with particular responsibility for Central Saint Martins and Camberwell, Chelsea, & Wimbledon colleges. Mark also coordinates Arts Chaplaincy Projects. Mark is an artist and before coming to UAL worked as a fine art lecturer. Mark is also trained in spiritual direction. Here’s how to contact Mark:
